What: Crafts with Kids at the YWCA Family Center

How to find the group: Volunteers will meet in the main lobby of the YWCA Family Center.

Parking: You can park anywhere in YWCA Family Center's parking lot.

Details: Volunteers will interact with and socialize with the families and children at YWCA Family Center while leading various craft activities. The event coordinator will provide supplies for a couple of different crafts, but if you have a great craft idea and wish to bring supplies along, feel free!

After the Event: We will head down the street to Old Bag of Nails Pub afterwards for food and drinks. Anyone who wants to join is welcome!

About YWCA Family Center: The YWCA Family Center offers support to families experiencing housing crises. Some of what they provide include the following:

• Services to help families gain independence—like employment assistance, case management, housing placement, and child advocacy
• Meaningful support for children and parents—including licensed child care, tutoring, and a teen center 
• Resources to help families maintain stability—such as a 24-hour computer room and laundry facilities 
• Spaces for children and families to gather and play—including four fenced outdoor areas and a community garden
